Selling items on eBay is one of the original and perhaps most effective ways to sell goods and run a profitable business online. Back a few years it was quite easy to make money on eBay. Now, however, eBay is over populated with sellers, making it even more challenging to find products that are not saturated on eBay while being cheap enough to make a decent profit from. When you use an online supplier, you are at a competitive disadvantage amoung eBayer’s, because many Ebayer's receive quantity discounted pricing on goods that you would have to compete against.
Let me suggest a method that would allow you to make greater profit margins then veteran eBayers. There are millions of items that the government acquires through numerous means such as bankruptcies, unpaid taxes, repossessed items, unclaimed items or government surplus that they simply want to quickly get rid of. You can buy these items either online from government web sites or from live government auctions held locally across the US and Canada. Because the government has a zero cost basis for these items, they aren't concerned about selling at high prices like a wholesaler is, so you can buy items for far less then what they are worth.
By buying items that are sold at government auctions you are buying goods that are not only unique but are severely discounted as well. These auctions have a wide range of items that are effective for selling on eBay including items such as jewelry, electronics, office equipment, etc. Often the items are offerered in bulk or larger quantities which allows for a easier eBay set-up for the items. To offer an example, a government auction I recently attended someone bought 11 ATM machines for $45 each which they sold for $467 each and another person bought 43 digital cameras for $600 that they later sold on eBay for 7 times that amount. At selected government auctions they even sell higher ticket items such as cars and other vehicles and eBay has one of the largest vehicle auctions business so that would really increase your profit per transaction.
So if you've never sold an item on eBay then I would recommend going to eBay and spending 15 minutes creating a free eBay account (see link below) and adding a fabricated sale item (just follow eBay’s prompts). Of course you won't actually list this item. This will help you to be familiar with how to sell items on eBay and show you how effortless it is.
Then visit the Government Auction Review Site below and do some due diligence on which government auction site(s) are the best sites to discover government auctions and products for sale at each auction (live and online). Once you distinguish the government auction site that will provide access to virtually unlimited merchandise for you to resale, then enlist with that site.
All you have to do now is search for government auction sale items online and/or visit a local live government auction. Then purchase the sharply discounted items of interest and place them for sale in eBay to make a healthy profit. eBay's world wide viewership now has access to think about and purchase all of your products.
